Residential Development
The Fitzroy involved the construction of a contemporary residential apartment building comprising 18 apartments across three levels, with basement parking incorporating car-lift access to maximise efficiency on a constrained inner-city site. Located just off Crown Street in Surry Hills, the project required careful planning to manage access, logistics and neighbouring interfaces within a dense urban environment.
Architecturally, the development is distinguished by its vertical screening façade, creating a strong street presence while responding to the surrounding context. High-quality materials, refined finishes and energy-efficient systems were integrated throughout, delivering durable, comfortable and sustainable residences suited to modern urban living.
Donrose worked collaboratively with the architect and client to ensure buildability and delivery certainty, maintaining clear communication and disciplined contract administration throughout construction. The result is a well-executed residential development that balances architectural intent, functionality and long-term asset value.
